Just Cause 2 is an open-world action-adventure game developed by Avalanche Studios and published by Eidos Interactive. The game was released in March 2010 and is set on the fictional island of Panau in Southeast Asia. Players take on the role of Rico Rodriguez, to overthrow the island’s dictator, Pandak “Baby” Panay, and confront his former mentor, Tom Sheldon.

Just Cause 2 takes full advantage of its open world environment; it is designed to allow players to explore and complete missions through multiple paths. The game also encourages creativity and encourages players to complete missions in whatever way they see fit. Players can complete missions either by completing objectives, completing side-missions, or even by simply causing chaos in an area.
